This political cartoon was drawn by Robert Arial for Town Hall. com. It shows Newt Gingrich dressed like Santa in a similar fashion to the grinch. He has a sleigh and bag that is labeled polls, and he is overlooking "Romneyville." There is a small exclamation mark seen to be coming from the town in surprise that Romney is behind Gingrich in the polls. The cartoonist uses ridicule with his clever poem and caricature in his representation of Gingrich. The cartoon comments on how Gingrich is now in the lead after stealing it from Romney. The poem points out that there is really nothing special about Gingrich; he's in the lead more because he's not Romney who can't seem to get the Republican party to like him. The cartoonist's point of view seems to be fairly neutral in between the two candidates by both mocking and almost expressing sympathy for Romney.
